Panto Trip Wednesday 13 th December Don’t forget it’s the whole school panto trip next Wednesday. As we are going straight after registration, please ensure children are not late for school; they must be in full school uniform. The PTFA would like you and your family and friends to come and join the festive fun at their annual Christmas Fair. Taking place next Thursday, 14 th December, the fun starts straight after school at 3:35pm; you can gain entry via Labracadabra @Ladybridge’s entrance (the Studio). A visit to the fair will provide family entertainment and help raise funds to support your child’s education. Refreshments will be on sale, plus there will be an array of stalls. These will include the chocolate and bottle tombola (with thanks to your support), raffles, various traditional games like “Whack a Snowball” and “Lucky Dip”, a craft table, plus, Santa is coming! For just a small fee, children can visit him in his grotto and receive a gift… don't forget your cameras so that you can take a photo of this special memory! I wish to thank the PTFA for organising this fantastic event. I do hope you can join us. Mr Watson, Headteacher Re-enacting History! Year 2 pupils have been stepping back in time to 1666! Their recent visit to Stockport’s Staircase House brought their history lessons to life. They loved dressing up and re- enacting scenes from the Great Fire of London. Christmas Jumper Day Friday 15 th December Children can wear Christmas jumpers (or a Christmas accessory) instead of their school jumper/cardigan; please do not buy anything specially for this occasion!

have been stepping back in time to 1666! Their recent visit to Stockport’s Staircase House brought their history lessons to life. They loved dressing up and re-enacting scenes from the Great Fire of London.

A ‘Wriggly Nativity’ is being performed by Reception on: Monday, 18th December at 2:00pm Tuesday, 19th December at 9:30am. Bookings can be made online (Parents’ Evening system) up to 9am on Monday, 11th December (limit of four tickets per family across both productions). If you do not have internet access, please contact the school office staff who will be happy to book seats on your behalf.

Year 1 Christmas Sing Along Tuesday, 19th December: 2:45 – 3:25pm You are invited to come and listen to Year 1 pupils at their Christmas Sing Along taking place in the KS1 playground.

Christmas Fair Thursday, 14th December from 3:35pm

Bring all the family and come along to our annual Christmas Fair (enter via the Studio).

Stalls will include: Chocolate and bottle tombola, children’s raffle, lucky dip, various games, craft table and much, much more.

Refreshments and food will be on sale.

Class Focus: 4B

Last week, it was RE week in year 4. On Tuesday we went on a trip. We visited a mosque, a church and a temple to find out about the three different faiths: Islam, Christianity and Hinduism. On Friday, we learnt a little more about Hinduism, and Mrs Kathiriya kindly brought in lots of different things for the children to see.

Each week, we will focus on work undertaken by a different class. This week it’s the turn of 4B …

Reception’s Nativity Play

ICE: When it is icy, please keep to the gritted areas around school and take

extra care. SNOW: In severe weather conditions, a

decision to close will take into consideration various factors. If school has to close, this will be displayed on

Bolton Council’s website www.bolton.gov.uk a ‘tweet’ will be on

the school’s website www.ladybridgeprimaryschool.co.uk and a text message will also be sent as soon

as a decision is made. .

Bake Sellers Get Their ‘Just Desserts’! Meet our top bake sellers. They advertised the event, baked (and baked some more) and raised an incredible £103 at their Bake Sale to support Leprosy sufferers.
