DARE GRADUATION Wednesday, Feb. 12th

6:30pm

Location: Hawkins MPR

Dear 8th Grade Parents,

Graduation for Hawkins Huskies 8th Grade Class of 2014 is rapidly approaching. In fact

graduation is only 75 school days away and will be held May 29, 2014.

The parent graduation committee, in conjunction with the Hawkins Staff is planning and

preparing for the upcoming 2014 Graduation activities. We would like our sons/daughters

final year at Hawkins to be a memorable one. We are mindful of the difficult economic times

that are upon us and are attempting to minimize the expenses for these activities.

By starting the planning process early, we are hoping to give each of us enough time to plan

for the shared financial responsibility that will be asked of every family. The amount will be

$70.00 per student. Donation due date Wednesday, February 12, 2014. The donations

already received have been greatly appreciated.

This amount will cover the following expenses:

Great America trip including transportation (ACE train) and lunch

Ice Cream Social: ice cream sundaes/floats and decorations

Honors Night: decorations and programs

Graduation ceremony: gowns, programs and decorations

Graduation dance: decorations/entertainment and refreshments

For those that have signed up to assist with the various graduation activities, we will be reach-

ing out to you in late February with meeting dates and times. For those that did not sign up but

would like to help, it is not too late! Please contact any of the persons listed below to volun-

teer.

Your participation, input and all donations already received are greatly appreciated.

2nd-7th graders in April. Applications can be found on the district website or in your

school office and are due by March 14. There will be a GATE Advisory Committee Meeting on February 19 at 3:30pm at the District Office. All GATE parents are wel-

come to attend. Please contact Christina Orsi at 209-836-4531 or [email protected] if

you have any questions. To access applications online, please go to the link below.
