10 July 2014 Dear Praying Warriors, Thank you for being there! August is a month when most of Bulgaria is on holiday. The cities empty (almost) and the mountains, villages, and the Black Sea beaches fill up with families and extended families, groups of young people and foreigners. Bulgaria is a small country – high mountain trails within an hour drive, the beach in five. And, therefore, Sunday evenings bring heavily traveled highways, especially back into Sofia, which means potential income for the Daughters. So, Sunday summer evenings on the Ring Road is when and where the DofB Ministry Team shows up, praying that we might have significant moments of time to talk with those Daughters that God puts in our path. Last Sunday, we were especially thankful to see, to offer a snack, and to chat with quite a few of them. Our former Outreach/Ministry Team member, Ani, was able to hug them one more time before returning to Russia next week! Weekly, each Daughter looks forward to “drawing” a slip of paper on which is written a small portion of God’s Word, and this time as Nina (team leader) read the verse, D Tk, quite readily agreed that the man should sacrifice his life for the woman just as Jesus did for the church. But. And this began a conversation that hopefully can be picked up once again – maybe this Sunday! Please, especially pray for Daughter (young) A. She told us the baby she is carrying is a little girl; she chatted away about names...but has no plans to quit the street – she can’t. And so she continues chain smoking, servicing the users, giving money to her pimp. She has our hotline number, so pray that she will use it if she needs to. Would you also pray for energy, strength, protection and perseverance for the Outreach/Ministry Team during this month? Our members are fewer as well-deserved and needed holidays are taken! Nina (at her village home); Kari (visiting her parents who work in the UK); Teah (baby is due in January!); Luci (cares for a bed-ridden and sick grandmother); Albena (suffers with back pain and mothers 2 teen girls); Dal (our driver week after week); Beth (who just needs prayer for everything you can think of ). He isn’t a Daughter!, but God has also put Ognian in our path. He works as a truck yard “guard” making $35/week and lives in a shack on the other side of the fence from where Daughter Nz sits in her car. Last Sunday, toothlessly grinning, he was waving even before we stopped. Teah has befriended this grandfather while other Team members chat with Daughter Nz. Notes from last week: Ogi- we gave him some food (2 breads, 6 kebabcheta, 2 big tomatoes) coffee, book. He was touched, he almost cried and was grateful. He will start the new job in October 1 and he will go under surgery and remove the tumor. He has 2 children (2girls and a boy), he is a widower, his wife had diabetes and she lost her two legs. His driver license is expired and doesn’t have health permit. But he has a bike. He showed me pictures of his kids and his son called recently, it was hard for him to speak (he’d had a stroke) and he is bitter.” Would you also add Ogi to your prayer list? Hope, joy and peace, Beth Stanton (for the Daughters of Bulgaria) May the God of Hope fill you with all joy and peace as you believe in Him, that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit (Romans 15:13).

Dear Praying Warriors, Thank you for being there! So, Sunday summer evenings on the Ring Road is when and where the DofB Ministry Team shows

up, praying that we might have significant moments of time to talk with those Daughters that God

puts in our path. Last Sunday, we were especially thankful to see, to offer a snack, and to chat with

quite a few of them. Our former Outreach/Ministry Team member, Ani, was able to hug them one

more time before returning to Russia next week! Weekly, each Daughter looks forward to

“drawing” a slip of paper on which is written a small portion of God’s Word, and this time as Nina
