    Day 5 (January 17)

It was still a very windy day. 7am, breakfast at La Eliana Hotel. After everyone has done preparing

themselves, off we go to the first destination which is the Malacanang of the north, we were given

several facts about the history and how luxurious the Marcoses life during their regime.

The Malacanang was built partly cement, woods and other historical materials like Capiz shells which

you rarely heard as a material nowadays. You can specifically see different antique pictures of the

Marcoses of their childhood. The house was built right beside a lake where our tour guide stated

that President Marcos Fishes there himself.

After roaming around the vicinity, we are asked to board the bus for our lunch. The lunch was held

at beside a very, very beautiful Paoay lake not to mention the usual combination of Pepsi-

watermelon. I noticed a humongous board of bird count, listed there was different species of bird

which you cannot see by your mere bare eyes that you need to use experts telescope for you to see

them and so we do it, a Tagalog-speaking Chinese citizen gladly let us use his telescope for us to see

    the birds.

The movie clip we watched along the way after the lunch was My amnesia girl though it was not

my first time watching that movie, I still get the click of that movies theme.

To err is human, to God is divine. Thats the most memorable quote I remembered when I was a

kid. Paoay Church is so famous about the materials used in it; the whole church is purely made of

sea corals binded by egg whites. Of course, we didnt miss the chance of jump shots. Hahaha! After

the shoot, we bought some souvenir items beside the church. I bought a couple shirt with this

written Paoay loves this Guy and for my girl Paoay loves this girl. All ofthe items were worth the

    price.

After that exhausting but memorable experience, we headed to Marcos mausoleum. It is the place

where you can see President Marcosremains. When we entered the room sound of death plays. Im

very, very scared and told myself that I wont enter that room again in the future.

Hours passed the clock and we arrived at Ilocos Sur where we had our dinner and spend the night at

the Mel-Sol hotel. Different unfriendly encounters have experienced for the first time. It was

because of the incident were my classmates were unconsciously locked-up the room. The hotel

manager was so unfriendly that he told us to pay for the broken door knob. I mean, its their

responsibility to check if all facilities were working properly. It is also our first experience that we

reclaim to the concierge that the heater is not working properly but answered us that they cannotdo anything about it. These reasons contributed my decision to rate their hotel a flapping zero on

the internet. It was the worst accommodation.
