Transport infrastructures– In China, large-scale transport infrastructure construction is

at an early stage, the software and the hardware of ITS can be integrated simultaneously.

– Some necessary conditions of ITS deployment are not mature.

Research foundation– The accumulations of ITS research achievements are not en

ough. – It is necessary to absorb all of the experiences from

overseas and incorporate the situations of China.

ITS deployment environment– The travelers violate traffic regulations frequently.

– Therefore, the effects of the ITS deployments in China is not so satisfactory as in the developed countries

– But in China, the target of ITS research and deployments is not only to enhance the traffic capacity but also to regulate the behaviors of travelers.

– 2000, The 4th Asia-Pacific ITS Conference , Beijing– 2002 , 2nd Beijing International Symposium on ITS
