•Generals. The new DBT Series of Digital Television Transmitters is fully compatible with all the international

digital standards (DVB-T/H, DVB-T2, ATSC, ISDB, ISDB-Tb, etc...) and suitable for SFN (Single Frequency

Network) and MFN (Multi Frequency Network) applications in VHF or UHF bands. The Transmitters are fully

broadband.

• Digital Modulator. The DBT Series is equipped with a “high-performances” digital modulator fully and easily

configurable to meet all the requirements of the DTV standards. The spectrum bandwidth may be user

configured to 8 or 7 or 6 MHz as required. Hierarchical modulation (optional) allows simultaneous transmission

of two MPEG- 2 (or MPEG-4) transport streams.

• Fully frequency agile with ultra low phase noise design. The DBT Series transmitters have an intuitive and

easy to use interface to select the frequency without any readjustment needing.

• Digital precorrector. A powerful digital linear / non linear (optionally auto-adaptative) precorrector, combined

with a very selective output band-pass filter, allows to obtain a perfectly clean spectrum in the adjacent channels

and excellent modulation performances.

• Phase noise. Very low phase noise oscillators allow to optimize the BER and MER performances.

• Analog compatibility. The DBT Series Transmitters are also available in analog version easily upgradable to

digital into the same rack or it is possible to have a “DUAL-MODE” configuration locally and/or remotely

selectable in analog/digital operation for maximum flexibility.

• New HI-ADC technology. DBT Series is realized with the new HI-ADC technology, developed by DB Elettronica.

Using the latest generation of RF devices with ultra-linear characteristics, we obtained higher performances

for both analog and digital television:

- higher video quality

- higher RMS output power (+26%) in digital operations respect to previous technologies

- “colder” functioning of the equipment increasing the efficiency up to 30% or more.

• Measures and alarm indications on front panel. All the main parameters of the transmitter and the alarm

indications are available on the front panel of the control logic unit and on the display of each amplifier (forward

and reflected power, voltages and currents of each single pallet, internal temperature, alarm indication for

VSWR, overtemperature, overdrive).

• Control logic unit and remote control. A powerful control logic unit allows a complete control of the

transmitter through front panel LCD display and, with remote option, a complete remote control through WEB

(including Web Server), SNMP and/or SMS.

• Surge and Lightening Protections (optional). Surge and lightening protections for the transmitters are

available as option to improve the lifetime of the equipment. Moreover an isolation transformer can be installed

to increase the protection of the unit from overvoltage or spikes coming from the mains distribution.

• Channel filtering. Critical mask and non-critical mask channel filters available.

• Liquid or Air cooling. DBT Series can be equipped with air or liquid cooling system. The liquid cooling system using tap water and

glycol is realized with an oversized heat exchanger suitable for outdoor or indoor installation and equipped with single or double

(optional) pump system for maximum redundancy, is the main component of the powerful liquid cooling system. A special design of

liquid cooled heatsinks inside the amplifier and a low pressure liquid distribution system are some of the main characteristics of the

DB liquid cooling systems.

This assures very high reliability of the cooling system, easy installation and very high cooling efficiency for perfect operation also in

very hard climatic conditions. Substantial advantages of our liquid cooling system respect to air cooling are:

- Perfect work in hard ambient conditions

- Guaranteed operation also in very dusty locations, also with high humidity or salinity

- Acoustic noise almost absent

- Reduced heat radiation into the environment

- Longer life for transistors and active elements due to colder operation
