The project was part of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Pakistan Reconstruction Program, established to rebuild many of the schools and hospitals destroyed in the country’s devastating earthquake on October 8, 2005. CDM Smith designed and built four earthquake-resistant schools in the district of Bagh, Azad Jammu and Kashmir. The project was part of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Pakistan Reconstruction Program, established to rebuild many of the schools and hospitals destroyed in the country’s devastating earthquake on October 8, 2005.
