The splashes themselves, which seems to fly off the letters and fall on to the surrounding pull quotes, help to maintain the obvious aquatic theme that the article presents. A feminine feel is created by the way in which the headline is italicised and presented primarily in lowercase and by the soft aquamarine colour of it. The headline reads ‘Back with a Splash’, which instantly sets up the article’s aquatic theme. It becomes clear when you read the article that it refers to their return from touring America and indicates that they have triumphantly conquered the elusive American charts and that they have come back better than ever, having achieved what all British artists dream of. The mode of address within the headline and the rhyme within it keeps it light, youthful and informal, which will make it appeal more to the readership and will reflect their fun persona as a boy band.
