Traction inverter
DC energy recovery
TracTion inverTer / Dc energy recovery2
GENERAL INFORMATIONanswering increasing energy efficiency requirements of rail transportation, Sécheron has developed a range of flexible solutions to recover the excess braking energy present in the system.
allowing a reduction of the total energy consumption, these systems have been designed following the strictest requirements of sustainability, maintainability and durability.
MAIN BENEFITSMAIN BENEFITS D cost savings through recovery of the excess braking electrical energy.
D reduction of heat in tunnels and substations 4 reduction of cooling requirements 4 Further cost savings.
D compatible with existing systems.
D Minimisation of co2 footprint.
D Harmonization and integration with SePcoS (Sécheron’s control and protection relay) and Sécheron Dc switchgear for protection, diagnostics and control.

/// TRANSFORMER-INVERTER GROUP
Depending on requirements, connection with cheaper autotransformers or direct connection to rectifier transformer secondaries can be achieved. consulting and support for transformer specification, manufacturing, FaT and combined tests is provided.
/// SEMICONDUCTOR TECHNOLOGY
requirements such as harmonics, reactive power, maintenance, overload, type of cooling, and efficiency will be carefully considered to offer the most suitable technology for the application.
/// PROTECTION AND RELIABILITY
Based on Sécheron’s ample experience, the protective devices present in the inverter and the complete substation are carefully coordinated to ensure optimal protection. Breakers, brake choppers and other protective devices are configured to ensure safety and to preserve the acquired assets.
/// REMOTE CONTROL, MONITORING AND DIAGNOSTICS
The inverter includes a SePcoS system, allowing connection to all types of communication bus and protocols.
* Other insulation levels upon request.
