Goals of the Green Code
• 101.4.9.5 Intent. The Green Construction Code is intended to safeguard the environment, public health, safety and general welfare through the establishment of requirements to reduce the negative impacts and increase the positive impacts of the built environment on the natural environment and building occupants.

• Take into consideration other codes, laws and unique characteristics in the District
