    4. Do software updates need to be registered if the update is installed with a previous version?

In most cases, the answer is yes. Software updates must be licensed. [You will get one or two that if installed properly the software will not require registration]

    5. What do I do if I see the message Computer ID not permitted when trying to do an update?

It generally takes one to two weeks to gain access to the update server following registration. To gain access immediately, please call Detroit Diesel Technical Support directly at (855) 253-0423.

    6. I cant find my serial number. How do I register the software?

If you cannot find your serial number, call NEXIQ Customer Support at (877) 974-3539. If you are calling outside the United States, please call 1-248-293-8285.

Master Reprogramming System (MRS) Issues 1. What is the difference between the downloaded and the CD versions of MRS?

The downloaded version does not require a CD and is downloadable via the Internet. It is good for one (1) year for any software updates available during that year.

The CD version, however, does not include any updates. If you wish to receive updates, you must purchase each update individually.

    2. What do I do if I see the message Computer ID not registered.

Contact Detroit Diesel Technical Support to get connected to the DDCSN server. The Detroit Diesel Technical Support number is (855) 253-0423.

    3. I lost my hard drive; can I reinstall the software on a new PC?

You can reinstall registered software once during the year of your subscription.
