The most of measurements for the stool were mea-sured with masking tape which worked as a tape measure. Unlike the stiff tape measure, it much more flexible, therefore the accuracy was higher. Other-wise, anormal ruler was used for very small elements of the stool such as the joints.

Analysis
The sequence of the transition of the stool from closed to open was quite important for this object because it demonstrated the role of both the horizontal and vertical joints at the same time. In the process of drawing this sequence of transition, I realised it was somewhat like how nature acts. For example, the collision of two landforms to create a new elevation to the landform.

For the trapezoidal panel structure on the left, the intention was to give the joints more felxible and wider angle that can rotate. Therefore, the skewers were used as a central axis that con-nects each trapeziums made out of foam board. In terms of material selection, the foam board was teh most suitable item that the skewers could go through and create a hole.
The next sketch model, on the right, is a geometry that employed a style of panel and fold by making a simple trapezoidal prisim and glue the side faces together to give an appearance of folded surfaces. The photo of the sketch model above shows rather a closed form, however, becuase the two sloped faces are squares, it ca have four different directions it can be attched to another.
