This year marks our 28th anniversary of producing Central Pennsylvania’s largest Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT+) public Pride celebration. In 2018, the Pride Festival of Central PA made history for being the first Pride Festival in the nation to be held on the grounds of a State Capitol. The 2020 festival returns to the Pennsylvania Capitol Complex Grounds in Soldier’s Grove Memorial Park in Harrisburg on Saturday, July 25, 2020 and is designed to appeal to people of all orientations and walks of life. With your support and our beautiful State Capitol Building as our backdrop, together we can show members of our community that the Harrisburg Capital Region is a vibrant and inclusive area to live, work, raise families and have fun. As a recognized 501(c)3 organization, we rely on the kind and generous support of corporations, local businesses and donors in the community to fund the success of Pride each year. The Pride Festival of Central PA works hard to utilize all of our generous contributions to maximize the impact on the festival. Copies of the audited financial reports are available upon request. About the Pride Festival of Central PA Since 1992, Pride Festival of Central PA has held an annual festival each summer to promote awareness and showcase organizations and business available to the LGBT+ and straight ally community. Pride Festival weekend provides several safe environments for people of the LGBT+ and straight ally community to celebrate their diversity and support local economic growth by partnering with the community and attracting individuals to Central Pennsylvania. The mission of the Pride Festival of Central PA is:

To increase positive visibility of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT+) community of Central Pennsylvania by providing opportunities to express and celebrate diverse perspectives, emphasizing acceptance of all individuals regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression.

What Makes Being a Part of the Pride Festival of Central PA a Good Idea? It’s simply a matter of economics and good business sense. The discretionary income of the LGBT+ community is expanding yearly along with their open presence in the work and market places.
