Please tell us about your first reaction when you came to know about such a great feat. Asmita: I became quite ambivalent. I was happy but a little bit disheartened too because my friends hadn’t score 10 CGPA. Of course, that was a proud moment for my parents, relatives, siblings and teachers too.

Whom do you give the credit for this great achievement? Asmita: To all, my parents, teachers and friends always used to motivate and help me in order to achieve this goal. My father, teachers and friends always helped me in solving my queries. My mother helped me in building up a healthy body by providing me nutritious food and a balanced diet. That was our combined effort and dedication which yielded good results.

What are your future planning? Asmita: Just to work harder than before in order to fulfill my aim of becoming a C.A. but before that is to score above 95% in 12th class assessment. Currently, in which school you are studying and what do you miss about DAV? Asmita: I’m studying in Nosegay Public School, Sriganganagar. I miss every moment that I had spent in DAV especially, the interpersonal relationship that was built up between teachers and students and friends. What message you would like to convey? Asmita: Friends, be regular at your studies. Try to become hardworking and increase your potential. Remember, never calculate the height of the mountain before climbing it and when you reach the top, you will realize how low it was. Thank you, Asmita. I on the behalf of STDAV Litera Vista team thank you for sparing time to share the details with us. Also, we pray to God for your bright future and in every sphere of life, we wish you a good luck.

VISIT OF THERMAL POWER PLANT [SSTPS]… The day of 14th November became a very wonderful day when we

stepped into the most efficient thermal power plant of Rajasthan.

We left our school sharp at 10:00 am. Firstly, we visited to UNIT#1

where Mr. Jain explained the whole overview of the plant. Then we

visited the conference hall where Mr. Nadheria explained us about

various mathematical units. We came to know that the plant receive

about 9-11 racks full of coal and one bogie contain about 3500

Metric tonnes of coal, electricity is generated on the principle on

Faraday s’ law of Electromagnetic Induction.

Teacher’s Day . . .

On every 5th September, Teacher’s Day is observed as a tribute to great personality

Dr. S. Radhakrishnan and so was observed in the premises of Suratgarh Thermal DAV

Public School. Students played the assigned role; they all had justified and proved as

teacher. Teachers also observed the students’ managing the classes and duties

assigned to them, it was truly managed very well. Every face was smiling. In the

evening students were asked to report at 2:00 pm at Erector Hostel-I as Honorable

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji was to address students all over India. The most

rewarding part was the late afternoon hours when we all teachers and students had

viewed PM’s live interaction session from Manekshaw stadium, New Delhi. It was a

sheer delight to hear him. His witty answers to the questions asked by students left a

lasting impression on the audience. He reflected his broad vision to make India clean,

green and a better place to live, perform & enhance progress.

Then we reached the chemical laboratory where we understood about various equipments which are used for testing coal and water like turgidity meter, bomb calorie meter etc. Then we visited the DM Water Plant where we knew about dematerializing of water and about the equipments which are used for this process. We also knew that alum is used here for treatment of water. After that, we visited the CHP i.e, coal handling plant, and had details about the handling of coal. It was a live learning experience to witness the functioning of sophisticated machines and the process of power generation. This will ever remain in our memory. We are highly thankful to the school & the STPS Thermal for making our day.
