“how can Australian libraries ensure that the electronic resources which they license are used to the maximum extent possible?

The Open Borders project: access to licensed eresources was a goal of the National and State Libraries Australasia

What was Stage 4 all about?

• an ‘access and linking framework’ based on Trove• supporting a range of authentication mechanisms

from one platform, including:– EZproxy– IP authentication– library systems barcodes– OpenURL resolvers

• introducing new content: a big-bang approach– starting with 120 million items
