Violations may result in revocation of park privileges and/or legal prosecution. This Park Preserve is limited to day use only. Camping, barbecuing/ cooking, and fires are not permitted. All plants and animals within the Park Preserve are protected. Please do not feed or disturb the wildlife. This is a carry-in/carry-out New York State Park. Trash receptacles are not provided; you must take your trash out with you. Dogs are permitted on a maximum six-foot leash. Alcoholic beverages and glass containers are not permitted. For your safety and to protect the Park Preserve, please remain on designated carriage roads, footpaths, and woods roads. Bicyclists must wear helmets, ride on maintained carriage roads, yield and give warning to pedestrians and horses, and ride in a safe manner. Swim only at designated areas at Lake Minnewaska and Lake Awosting when lifeguards are on duty. Hours and Fees The Park Preserve opens daily at 9:00 am year-round. Closing hours are posted at the Park Preserve entrance and are adjusted seasonally. Please inquire at the Visitor Center about various admission programs including the annual Empire Pass, Golden Park Program, and Access Passes. Vehicle use fee: $10 per car Empire Pass: $80 calendar year (1/1–12/31) Recreational Activities Hiking, biking, horseback riding, scuba diving, swimming, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, picnicking, non-motorized boating, bouldering, and rock climbing. Public Programs Guided hikes and nature programs, which are listed on the Park Preserve’s website, are provided for the public every month. Education programs are available upon request for interested parties. Stop by or call the Visitor Center for more information. DANGER: KEEP AWAY FROM CLIFF EDGES Cliffs and steep drops are present on carriage roads, trails, and overlooks through the Park Preserve. Falling can result in serious injury or death. CAUTION: WATCH OUT FOR MOTOR VEHICLES Use caution when on all carriage roads. Park staff and private landowners drive motor vehicles in the Park Preserve.
