– 1841 - First Anglicans arrived in the Holy Land– 1976 – First local Arab Anglican Bishop took charge
• Currently Rt Rev Suheil Dawani is Bishop of the Diocese of Jerusalem
– the 4th Arab Anglican Bishop in Jerusalem
• In 1948, over 25% of Israel/Palestine was Christian; Today that number is estimated at 1.4%
