    David Everitt-Carlson has worked in the communications industry his entire career. Graduating

    from Southern Illinois University with a degree in Corporate Communications, Mr. Carlson was

    first featured in the New York Art Directors Show in 1982 and began a career of industry firsts and

    award winning work with companies such as The Richards Group in Dallas (Americas largest

    independent privately held agency), Bozell & Jacobs/Dallas (American Airlines) and Earle Palmer Brown -

    Wash D.C. (Marriott). His work for American Airlines ran on the the Super Bowl and garnered four

    CLIO finalists which were followed by four more the following year for his work on Marriott and

    one for personal work for a total of nine CLIOs in two years. Moving to Chicago, David continued

    at Leo Burnett with award winning and performance driven work for Miller Brewing, Nintendo,

    Sony & Kelloggs.

    He has been described by colleagues as a Strategic eccentric. The most business orientedcreative Ive ever worked with and a lawyer/poet all interestingly accurate. David waspromoted to VP/Creative Director in 92 and moved to Korea with Burnett in 95 as VP/Executive

    Creative Dirctor on the heels of his teams Nintendo GameBoy adult campaign achieving both a

    Chicago Film Festival Gold Award and 2 times the projected sales volume. David authored the

    theme Have You Had Your Fun Today? This campaign is now taught as a case study at the Kellogg

    School of Management at Northwestern Illinois University.

    After two years with Burnett Korea, he formed Koreas first 100% foreign invested advertising

    agency, CarlsonCreative, Inc, in Seoul in 1997 and successfully competed against two majormultinational agencies to win the British American Tobacco account. CarlsonCreative also served

    the Korean Ministry of Finance, Samsung, LG and Hyundai and received creative awards from the

    New York Art Directors show, The New York Festivals and the Korean Art Directors club. David

    sold CarlsonCreative in 2003.

    He moved to Vietnam in 2005 and continues to lecture and consult on Advertising, Marketing,

    New Media, Social Marketing and the opportunities of Web 2.0 and beyond for Global 500

    companies and Universities. His blog,The Wild Wild East Dailies, rose to number 5000 in a world

    of over 120 million blogs in three years. That blog has migrated into A Suspension of Disbeliefs

    and continues to gain share and readers.

    In 2010 David co-founded aSaigon/CreativeMorning, a monthly speaker series that brings world-

    class creative thought leaders to Saigon for intimate discussions with Vietnam's young creative

    minds. As Director he curates a salon that covers art, music, design, architecture, cuisine and all
