The Bible, Book by Book David Rountree • A101
This is a fun and interactive Bible class that has as its intention to survey every book of the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, to infinity and beyond! Join us at any point for essential doctrines necessary for spiritual growth and disciple-ship maturity. This class is currently studying Psalms through Malachi. Our se-nior pastor’s goal in teaching this class is to teach us the “whole counsel of God” by addressing the main subjects in every book of the Bible. It is a “walk-through” of the entire Bible in approximately three years. Come along for the joy of grow-ing deeper and richer in Christ every week.
Romans Steve Andreasen, Mark Burchette & Joe Noblitt • A211
The book of Romans is one of the crown Jewels of the Bible. In it is con-tained the glorious description of the height and depth and width of Gods’ Love for us through the gospel. Throughout its pages the Gospel is described in the most thorough and glorious way. William Tyndale wrote this in his introduction to the book of Romans: “forasmuch as this epistle is the principle and most excel-lent part of the New Testament, and most pure evangelon,… and also a light in a way onto the whole Scripture.… No man verily can read it too often, or study it too well; for the more it is studied, the easier it is; the more it is chewed, the pleasanter it is; and the more groundly it is searched, the preciouser things are found in it, so great a treasure of spiritual things lieth hid therein.” Come and let us dig together into the depths of this glorious book so that we can attain the glorious treasures that God has for us!
Investigating the Institutes - Part 2 Joe Canney & James Duncan • A213
We continue our survey of John Calvin’s Institutes of the Christian Reli-gion, a book that has helped define Reformed theology for almost 500 years. This
semester we review the last two major sections, which focus on the Holy Spirit and the church. This includes Calvin’s thinking on topics like predestination,
Christian living, prayer, the sacraments, and church and civil government.Partici-pants won’t need to read the Institutes to profit from the class, though we’ll pro-vide an abbreviated reading guide and a weekly handout that will cover the es-
sentials of Calvin’s thought for anyone who’s inspired to read along.

it is the gift of God

New Covenant Finances: General Fund Giving through Nov. 16, 2014: $712,794.48 General Fund Expenses through Nov. 16, 2014: $716,402.36 Thank you for your faithful giving to the ministries of New Covenant Church. Because you gave, we have honored Christ in our worship--celebrated, obeyed and acknowl-edged Him as our Lord and King! Financial giving state-ments were emailed on November 25th. This is in response to folks wondering where they are in their giving so far this year—while there is still time to make some adjustments be-fore the 2014 year closes. Any gift received in the church office by Dec. 31, 2014, or bearing that postmark (though it may be delivered after the 1st of the year) will be counted in your 2014 giving record. In the case of online giving through our website (www.ncchurch.net), as long as the gift is given via credit card or ACH, on or before Dec 31, 2014, it will be included in your 2014 giving.

God always blesses generosity (Prov. 11:25; 22:9) and Christmas Bme oCen brings out the generosity in all of us. What a wonderful Bme of the year! With conBnued significant giving toward our Christmas GiC for Christ offering we are only four years from completely paying off our church mortgage and be-‐ing free from the bondage of mortgage debt as a church. It has me singing, “Hallelujah! Hallelujah!” We do not need the same amount from everyone but the same sacrifice. We have been challenged to giC an extra month’s Bthe but if that is more than you can do, please give at least a dollar or more so we know your desire to parBcipate with your church family. Wouldn’t it be great if we had 100% parBcipaBon of some amount from all of us?
You can do your Christmas giving anyBme by designaBng your extra giC as “my Christmas GiC for Christ.” ACer our Christmas decoraBons go up we will also have designated boxes decorated like presents in the sanctuary and lob-‐by in which we can place our offerings for Christ. Some families love this phys-‐ical and visible giving to Christ in the same way we give to one another.
Please don’t leave any of your brothers and sisters in Christ hanging on this. Embrace the challenge to give a special sacrificial giC. Let us pray for and press on to 100% parBcipaBon for the honor of Christ this Christmas season with an offering that demonstrates Christ’s mission of building his church as our first and highest priority.
A"er coming to the house they saw the Child with Mary His mother, and they fell to the ground and worshiped Him. Then, opening their treasures, they presented to Him gi"s of gold, frankincense, and myrrh. —Ma?hew 2:11
