DOWN THE ROAD
Great new programs in 2020
The "Quilt Sisters" program is designed to pair experienced guild members with new members to help make them feel welcome: answer any questions about guild activities and quilting in general. This program is available to any new member
who chooses to take advantage of the program but it is not a requirement to become a member.
Sharon Morkal will head up this program.
Show us what you do or learn something new!
Bring something for show and tell,
attend workshops, or donate a quilt and be en-
tered into a drawing for a free membership.
Drawing at the Christmas Party in early
December. Show and tell is a favorite part of
our meeting. Please share your projects.

Quilts Along the Wildcat 2020 Mickey Depre will be the guest teacher At Kokomo Piecemakers Quilt Guild Quilt Show 2020 on October 2-3 at the Kokomo Event Center. Mickey is from Oak Lawn, IL and has been quilting since 1997. She has visited our guild twice in the past in 2008 and 2015 when she presented the program and offered a work-shop each time. Mickey has been recognized with many awards and made a name for herself as an art quilter with a flair for the whimsical. She also enjoys making traditional quilts for her family to enjoy. As our guest teacher, Mickey will offer four teaching sessions which will cover a variety of techniques. Her lecture “Colorriffic Quilts” on Friday morning will take the audience through exercises of fabric selection for projects to add “zing” to their next project. This lecture includes a short trunk show and question and an-swer period. On Friday afternoon, Mickey will teach the Whirligig block, a combination of paper piecing and set in seams. Mickey will teach “Tussie Mussie,” one of her new books, on Saturday morning. The workshop will deal with fabric selection as well as construction for this simple yet unique block. Saturday afternoon, Mick-ey will teach her well known “Pieced Hearts.” This workshop will include machine work and hand work via English paper piecing. Registration for Mick’s workshops at at Quilt Show 2020 will be available beginning May1,2020 through the Guarantee website (www.guaranteevac.com). Mickey’s website is www.mdquilts.com. Mickey offers the WARNING: All attendees of my lectures must come prepared to Laugh, Share, Learn,...and above all Enjoy! We look forward to having Mickey as our guest teacher at Quilt Along the Wildcat2020.
