Pet Coke
Mainly used for power generation, this coal also finds wide application for manufacturing cement, fertilizer, glass, ceramic, paper, chemical material and brick and for other heating purposes.
The coal having specific caking property is a primarily ingredient for steelmaking in order to reduce iron from its ore.
Met coke is produced by heating coking coal in a coke oven in a reducing atmosphere before being fed to the blast furnace.
Pet Coke is obtained as a by-product in oil refining process. Due to its carbon rich content and high calrific value, it is widely preferred by the cement industries in India.
