So they snapped all day long on the rainforest floor.

Deep in the rainforest, where the insects thrive.

Lived a mother ant and her little ants Five.

“Sting!” said the mother. “We Sting,” said the Five.

So they stung in the sun where the insects thrive.

Deep in the rainforest, on a web on the sticks,

Lived a mother spider and her little spiderlings Six.

“Spin!” said the mother. “We spin,” said the Six.

So they spun through the day near their web on the sticks.

Deep in the rainforest where the butterflies reach to heaven,

Lived a mother butterfly and her little flies Seven.

“Soar!” said the mother. “We soar,” said the Seven.

So they soared all around where the butterflies reach to heaven.

Lived a mother rainbow macaw and her little macaws Eight.

“Flap!” said the mother. “We flap,” said the Eight.

So they flapped through the sky where the all vines grow straight.

Deep in the rainforest, where the bamboo vines twine,

Lived a mother turtle and her little turtles Nine.

“Bask!” said the mother. “We bask,” said the Nine.

So they basked on a rock where the bamboo vines twine.

Deep in the rainforest, in an underground den,

Lived a mother snake and her little snakes Ten.

So they slithered after rats near their underground den.
