We'll give you the resources and show you how to continue to practice your newly learned techniques and in most cases, you'll be able continue to practice within the convenience of your own home. This continued practice will quickly build your confidence and skill to the point that you'll be more proficient then most law enforcement officers.

The Level One Defensive Pistol course is 6 hours long and it will teach the following topics: 1. Lifestyle of a concealed carrier 2. How to react to pistol malfunctions 3. Tactical and emergency reloading 4. Drawing from open carry and/or concealed carry 5. Shooting with movement 6. Techniques for continued training

Prerequisite: A current concealed carry license is not required. At the beginning of class, you will need to pass the prequalification shooting to be allowed to continue this class. This will be per-formed at the beginning of the class. You will have three opportunities to complete the prequalification shooting. Par-ticipants must be at least 21 years old to take this training.

Check list of items to bring to training:

Your carry pistol, either a semi-automatic or a double action revolver. The pistol should be properly maintained

so that it will function during the training. Please bring it to the range unloaded and in a closed bag or case

(typical range etiquette).

At least 200 rounds of ammunition that works in your pistol. Most techniques are practiced first without having

to use live rounds, then with live ammo for safety and to conserve ammunition.

Two magazines or speed-loaders for rapid reloading.

One magazine or speed-loader holder that attaches to your waist.

A strong side hip holster without a manual retention device. This holster can be inside or outside the pants. A

strong belt should be used to support your holster.

Comfortable clothing for being on the range all day. Shirts should be crew cut and shoes should be closed toed

to prevent burns from ejected casings. A baseball style hat is also recommended.

Pack a lunch, snacks and drinks.
