Define Loyalty Types

Use

In this Customizing activity, you define types of marketing project for use in your loyalty management business

scenario. You can define multiple loyalty types. These loyalty types are available for use in planning and execution in your system. The settings that you make here and in other activities in Customizing for Customer Relationship Management under Marketing -> Loyalty Management in BBPCRM define the business logic for these types.

You assign a category to each of your loyalty types. For a loyalty management business scenario, we deliver the following categories:

Loyalty Program (LY)

You use the category Loyalty Program for your types of loyalty program. You use a marketing project of

this type to encapsulate all aspects of your loyalty program.

Reward Rule Group (RG)

You use the category Reward Rule Group for your types of reward rule group. You can create marketing

projects of this type in a loyalty program.

Reward Rule (RL)

You use the category Reward Rule for your types of reward rule. You can create marketing projects of this

type in a reward rule group.

You can assign a status profile to each of your loyalty types. For more information, see status profile.

For each type of marketing project of the category Reward Rule, you can define whether the reward rules of that type are scheduled. The system processes a scheduled reward rule at times that you define in the reward rule, in addition to processing it on an ongoing basis against member activities.

You assign templates to types of reward rule groups and reward rules in the Customizing activity Define Templates for Reward Rule Maintenance.
