landscape of CUBE Wynwd is
inspired by the industrial style of
Wynwood and the subtropical
climate of the region.
In keeping with Floridian style,
CUBE Wynwd’s ground floor
features a thirty-foot-wide
passive breezeway which runs
the full depth of the building
and terminates in an open air
office-lobby with a nine-story
tall breeze block wall.
The breeze block style wall,
a composition of concrete
m a so n r y uni t s, pr o v ide s
protection from the elements,
while still allowing light and
air to pass through each of
the seven levels of offices.
A cementitious combination
of materials make up the
building envelope – exposed
concrete, as well as exposed
architectural masonry block
and mortar – these same
materials are reflected on
th e inte r ior wa l l s. T h e
concrete block is insulated
using natural substances,
which resul ts in no tox ic
materials.
