Definite and Indefinite Articles in Spanish
Definite Articles
In English, the definite article is “the.” However, in Spanish it is el, la, los, and las. Spanish has four different forms and they agree in NUMBER and in GENDER.
el (masculine/ singular) los ( masculine/ plural)
el libro Los libros La (Feminine/ singular) las (feminine/ plural)
just one more than one
la mochila las mochilas

Note: Remember, as long as the group has at least one male member, the masculine plural article is used.

What is the differencebetween definite articles and indefinite
articles?
Definite articles are referring to something specific.
Ex: I am looking for the boy with blue hair.
Indefinite articles are not specific. Ex: I am looking for a boy. (could be any boy)
