November NewsletterHello Alumni! Hope you are having a wonderful fall. DEID has been

working hard over the past couple weeks and we wanted to take

the time to share some updates with you! Highlights include:

Summer

2020 Plans

Habitat for

Humanity

Project teams are

continuing to work on

summer plans for

projects in Indonesia

and Bolivia and the

spring break project in

West Virginia! Members

are going through Auto-

CAD education, cultural

workshops, and

drafting initial designs.

DEID volunteers, in

partnership with the

Duke ASCE, spent the

day finishing up two

houses in the local

Durham area. It was a

fantastic day of

construction and

community!

DEID Fundraising had

a big October with the

completion of our

crowd favorite Boo!

Bag Fundraiser.

Students and parents

purchased $5 bags of

candy for delivery on

Halloween! Special

thanks to Alex Fine for

organizing the event!
