1Dear Friends,
With approximately 100,000 Delawareans without health insurance,
its likely that you or someone you love doesnt have the health
benefits needed to cover necessary services. To increase awareness
and availability of free and reduced-cost healthcare services for
the uninsured, Healthy Delawareans Today and Tomorrow (HDTT) was
formed.
Since its inception in 2007, HDTT has linked nearly 26,000
uninsured Delawareans to healthcare and other support services
through vehicles such as this Healthcare Resource Guide.
Designed to help those without health insurance navigate the
healthcare system and find needed healthcare resources, we hope
this guide will help you to:
Identify available health services Access prescription
assistance programs Find transportation to and from medical
appointments
Additionally, we encourage you to call 2-1-1, Delawares new
referral line for health and human services. Representatives are
available from 8 am 8 pm and will provide you with information
about state agencies and community resources. You may also visit
www.delaware211.org to learn more.
We encourage you to use this guide and access the healthcare
resources available to Delawareans in need.
