Surely, you have planned a holiday that would help you to relax, and also would energize your mind and body.
Make sure you have a healthy summer break, and spend memorable family time.
To ensure that you spend the vacation in a constructive and creative manner, we have designed a theme based,
integrated project for you.
For a better tomorrow – happier, healthier and safer, it is important to innovate and create today…..
Remember, you should do the work on your own, while you may seek your elders’ guidance and help. Use the
‘Best out of Waste’ and try to be ec0-friendly.
Concept Reinforcement Worksheets (Remediation Worksheets) will be uploaded on the CLP. Please take a print
of the same and attempt those.

(You may use old cardboard / old kitchen tray /
paper mache’ egg tray as base.)
HINDI Vocabulary Building –
Flash Cards - Identify vilom shabd (opposite words) in context to the ‘Kitchen Garden’. Prepare 5 – 7 pairs of Flash Cards with the word and relevant picture.
Or
Word Chain – Create a word chain with words in context of ‘Kitchen Garden.’ Present it in the form of a floral / fruit string, using the letter which comes in the end of a word. The chain should have minimum of 10 words, and also should have 2 or more letters in a word. For example-
ENGLISH Imagine that you are a butterfly / caterpillar / sparrow / earthworm……living in the kitchen garden. Write a short story about yourself in about 2-3 paragraphs, on one-fourth of a chart paper. Use blend words and adjectives to make it more interesting. Highlight these words. Draw and colour relevant pictures to brighten up your work. Create a puppet, and be ready to present the story with puppet to your classmates!
EVS - An Investigative Visit to a Kitchen Garden
Visit the kitchen garden of your home or neighbour’s home. Explore the different plants grown in the
kitchen garden. Also research on the uses and importance of these plants (used as fruit/ vegetables/
medicinal plant). What type of a plant is it? Herb/ shrub/ climber/ creeper). Showcase your work in a
bright and colourful manner, on a cutout of leaf / vegetable / fruit and, add pictures of the plant as well.
OR
(EVS & UAE S.St-Eng-Hindi-Arabic) – The Arabic Cuisine uses a lot of herbs. Find out the names of
few such herbs in English, Hindi and Arabic. You can present your findings in the following format OR it
can be presented in the form of a collage / a mobile / flash cards.

ARABIC Vocabulary Building Identify 8 – 10 different items related to the kitchen garden. Write the English word for each. Find out and write its Arabic word. Present your work in the form of a flip book.
UAE S.St Research about the date palm tree or the date fruit. Present the findings in the form of a collage. Please keep the facts age appropriate, brief and in simple words.

Adopt a Tree / Plant – Identify a tree / plant. Adopt it. Mind Map the importance of ‘Adopt a
Plant’ and ‘Go Green Campaign.’ Write on an A-4 sheet about the care that you give to the plant.
Describe the reason why you adopted the tree and your feelings.

Make a flow chart/ mind map on how you would help a needy person.
Reading for Pleasure English – Make a dictionary of 15-20 words from the Read Books – ‘Ponies’ and ‘The Elephant and the Crab’. Make sure to write these in alphabetical order and also write their meanings. or Design a book cover – Read as many age appropriate books as you can. Design a bright and colourful book cover / jacket (A-4 sheet size) for any 1 book that you enjoyed reading. You may read children’s story books by Roald Dahl, Ruskin Bond, R.K Narayan, etc. Enjoy reading children’s poetry by Roald Dahl, Kenn Nesbitt, etc. Hindi – READ Book ‘Samajhdaar Kachuaa’ - List at least 10 new words with their meanings in Hindi. Form and write sentences using these words.

Read any 3 stories from the पंचतन्त्र कहानियां (Panchatantra stories). Write the
summary of any 1 story, support it with a bright and colourful picture, on an A-4 sheet.
