Bosch Rexroth has thousands of customers worldwide who are dependent upon

the company for various industrial parts to run their operations. Hydraulic filter

elements are among the most in-demand parts because of the extensive use that

they undergo.

Bosch Rexroth wanted to give its customers the ability to use their smartphones

and tablets to lookup information on its filter elements. The users of this app

needed the ability to quickly find the replacement for their existing filter element

using either the existing part number or model number. All the relevant

information regarding the parts also had to be displayed, including detailed

technical specifications. But displaying only product information was not enough

since customers also need to have the ability to contact Bosch’s customer support

team and order online. The challenge for our developers was to create a mobile

app that answered all these concerns.

The project had three major objectives: give users the ability to find the

replacement of their existing filter elements, the search should be possible using

either the full model number or even a partial model number and have the

capability to contact the company or place an order.

Softweb’s developers created the app, Fit4Filter, using Objective C, and developed

it for both the Android and iOS platforms. The app works in offline mode. The

Fit4Filter app takes advantage of mobile devices and delivers Bosch Rexroth filter

elements in the palm of your hand.

It is now possible to search for the filter element replacement using just the

existing Part Number or Model Number. If the perfect replacement filter element is

found, then the detailed technical specification of the Bosch Rexroth filter element

and contact info is displayed for fast ordering. The Fit4Filter App is quick to use

and easy to navigate regardless of if you are using Search, looking up local Contact

information or just changing the local Settings.
