Who We AreThe Democratic Republican Party (DRP) is
the newest political party in St. Vincent and
the Grenadines. It was founded by Anesia
Baptiste on 23rd August 2012. It brings new
hope from service to the people, believes in
peoples participatory power and stands on
the watch words LIBERTY, EQUALITY and
DEVELOPMENT
The DRP believes in Democracy as a scien-
tific method of electing government, where
majority rules. It also believes in Republican-
ism-a philosophy of governance that empha-
sizes respect for and protection of the inalien-
able rights and freedoms of ALL of the people
(majority and minority).
Domestic Development Plan(DDP)
The DRP will set up a Ministry of Domestic
Development under the Domestic Develop-
ment Plan. This plan will base the countrys
development on protection of Rights and
Freedoms.
Our Success StoriesSince our inception one year ago the DRP has
successfully facilitated the following, without ac-
cess to any government funding:
The distribution of300 Schoolbags and sta-
tionery packs to elementary students
The bringing together of volunteers to con-
struct a new home for an elderly poor woman
in Rose Bank, North Leeward
Bringing Housing Assistance to a victim of
Domestic Violence and Fire Damage, in Trou-
maca, North Leeward
Facilitating distribution ofover 61 Food and
care packages to Less fortunate families.
More about our story-The DRP isunique in Vincentian political history:
It has the youngest and only woman politi-
cal leader
It is a party for youth leadership and has
great and workable ideas to bring moral,
spiritual, social and economic development .
What We Do
The DRP is a political party involved in humanitar-ian work to serve the people of St. Vincent andthe Grenadines (SVG). The service we provide isfor ALL people based on need and we do not dis-criminate based on political affiliation. Our ser-vices include but are not limited to:
Sourcing Housing Assistance
Providing Back to School Supplies support
Distribution of Food Packages for the Less
Fortunate
Advocacy work on Issues such as Water
needs of communities, Road Repairs, Welfare
Assistance for victims of Abuse and Disasters
etc.
Our story
This DRP was born out of the peoples call for a
new hope and alternative to the current parties in
SVG. The DRPs Leader & Founder-Anesia Bap-
tisteis a 1998 national scholar who courageous-
ly stood up against anti-rights and freedoms poli-
cies of both main parties in SVG and was victim-
ized politically as a result. In boldness and perse-
verance Baptiste started the DRP to continue to
serve the people of SVG.
