DEMOCRATIC REPUBLICAN PARTY TO MEET VINCENTIANS IN NEW YORK

Founder and Leader of the newly formed Democratic Republican Party of St. Vincent and the

Grenadines (DRP) Anesia Baptiste will soon meet with the Vincentian Diaspora in New York,

United States of America.

Baptiste, who announced her DRP on August 23rd, 2012, will take her presentation to the place

where the largest Diaspora of Vincentians reside in an attempt to spread awareness of her party

as “New Hope from Service to the People” for governance in SVG, as well as to lobby for their

support.

Speaking of her plans, the youngest political party leader in SVG indicates that she will give the

feature presentation at a Town Hall meeting scheduled for 7:30pm on Saturday 5th October, 2013

at the Friends of Crown heights Community Center. Baptiste explained that the decision to visit

the Diasporia this early in her party’s existence is testimony of the importance the DRP places on

people’s participatory power (ppp) which is one of the DRP’s watch phrases. “Vincentians in the

Diaspora are never to be treated as second thought since they are as much a part of the

development of our Country as are residents living on the islands which make up our state. It is a

policy of the DRP to engage the people’s participation from the very beginning”

The first woman political Leader of SVG explained that the Vincentian Diasporians can expect

to hear about her party’s philosophy and some of its plans for governance of St. Vincent and the

Grenadines. The DRP Founder who hosts the weekly in SVG TV program “Serving the People”

and is also known for her active role in humanitarian efforts for Vincentians, is also requesting

donations from persons attending the meeting on 5th October. Baptiste is inviting the General

Anesia Baptiste is the founder of the newest political party in St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) called the Democratic Republican Party (DRP). She is the holder of a 1998 National Scholarship and a 2013 graduate of the University of London International programmes with a Bachelor of Laws Degree- LLB (Hons).
