Five in Five Challenge
On Friday students will be able to wear
casual active clothes for the Five in Five
challenge, with a gold coin donation
towards Challenge for Change.
During the day students will be taking part
in a 4 person team circuit of five activities.
Untimed and without places the idea is for
students to support each other to complete
as many circuits as possible in 30 minutes.
Students and families are encouraged to
spend an hour a day exercising in the
holidays or creating an active challenge
that pushes themselves beyond what they
would normally do. Suggestions for the
holidays from 5/ 6 HB include learning a
new dance each day, horse or motorbike
riding, walking or riding around the block,
kayaking, climbing trees, make a fitness
circuit, skipping or tramp bouncing to add
up to 1 hour a day or aim to ride/walk a
specified distance over 5 days. You can
follow community activities with the
hashtag: #deni5in5

School Based Chummy Bartlett Reports
Week 1 AFL - Team 1 V Team 2
The first round was a great success for team
one who drove team two into the ground with
a 31 point win. Everyone had a good crack
with Harry Bull kicking a massive 4 goals, top
players also included Isaac Behsman and Mi-
chael Garner. The whole of team one had a
great crack. Written by Charlie Bull
Week 2 Netball review - Team 2 V Team 4
Chummy teams two and four played each
other in netball in round 2. Both teams played
good with a close game up until the end. In
the first 2 quarters team four took the lead
scoring 4 to 0, but in the last 2 quarters team
two picked up their game finding their right
positions. When the game ended team two
had scored 4 and team four had scored 5. It
was a close game and everyone played their
best, but in the end team four was victorious.

2020 - 2021 BUSHFIRE SEASON
Our school has been identified as Category 1 and in a bushfire prone area.
To ensure the health, safety and welfare of students and staff, the NSW Department
of Education has determined that on days when a Catastrophic Fire Danger Rating is
issued for our area, the school will temporarily cease operations. This is based on in-
formation obtained through a bushfire assessment of our school arranged by the De-
partment.
A Catastrophic Fire Danger Rating does not mean there will be a catastrophic fire,
but rather weather conditions that could pose a high risk for a bushfire. The rating is a
proactive measure to ensure staff, students and the community remain safe.
This is likely to occur on a very small number of days during the bushfire season, if at
all. To ensure that we continue to support student learning on these days. The follow-
ing arrangements have been put in place:
School will be non-operational on a catastrophic fire day.
The school will receive notification of a Catastrophic Fire Danger Rating on the day
before the forecast is issued. To assist the school in contacting all parents please en-
sure that you have provided us with up-to-date home or after hours contact details.
You can also check the school website and social media on these days for up to
date communications on school operations.
Deniliquin Amateur Swimming & Life Saving Club Inc. Registration Night for 2020/21 will be held at the Clubrooms in Poictiers Street, on Tuesday 20th October 2020 between 5:00pm and 6:00pm.
Active Kids vouchers are to be claimed when parents com-plete the on-line registration.
