Nikhil PachpandeSoftware Engineering Intern at MathWorks I Computer Science Graduate Student at USC

Summary• I am working towards my Master's Degree in Computer Science from the University of Southern Califomiaand my anticipated graduation date is May of 2018.

• I interned with MathWorks over the summer of 2017 as a Software Engineering Intern. At MathWorks,I was involved in designing a prototype for an upcoming feature. I participated in requirements gathering, sketched UI design mockups and developed front-end features using Dojo JavaScript library. I also worked onconsuming RESTful web services on MATLAB server for integration with other applications.

• Beforejoining USC, I worked for 2 years as a Software Engineer at eQ Technologic. At eQ, I worked towardsdeveloping enterprise application connectors which converted the application data into eQ's required dataformat facilitating actionable intelligence, migration, synchronization and integration.

• I interned with Symantec for implementing my undergraduate project - Performance Modeling of Data Insight(Dl) application. My responsibilities included understanding the architecture and functioning of Dl and comingup with a mathematical model that accurately estimated the synchronization parameters for optimal functioningof Dl thereby ensuring efficient host system utilization.

• I am proficient in Java, Python and JavaScript and have a strong understanding of SDLC, design patterns, developer tools, methodologies and best practices. I like to work in technically challenging environments andkeep myself updated with new software and methods to assist with product development.
