Chairman Message

Holy-Wood’s Academy and its founders realized holistic

education for students, since its inception in 1992. The

Academy was formed with the intension of uplifting the poor

and downtrodden people of this remote rural area. Holy-

Wood’s Academy has a distinctive mission & a history that has

made it a leader in the field of education. Education today, not

only focuses on imparting knowledge & skills but also on the

overall development of the students.

Holy-Wood’s Academy is marching ahead on all avenues of

education right from primary schooling to specialized technical

institute like Sanjeevan Engineering and Technical Institute,

Panhala. To be in tune with the trends in Industrial dynamics,

we, at Sanjeevan Engineering and Technical Institute, Panhala,

provide the right Ambience to attain excellence in Engineering

and Technology Studies through appropriate Infrastructural

facilities, qualified and inspiring Faculty, well established

Library, developed Laboratories and good Teaching-Learning

process.

As a Chairman founder, I congratulate the E & TC

department of the S.E.T.I. Panhala for their efforts to bring out

Joint Secretary Message SETI is the realization of the long lasting dream of Holy-

Wood’s Academy. “Our vision for Sanjeevan Engineering and

Technical Institute is to offer value-based education to our

students led by the four prime values of Courage, Compassion

and Integrity as uniquely possessed by Hon. Dr. P.R. Bhosale –

not only my dear elder brother but also an amazingly kind,

affectionate and humble human being ever ready to lend a

hand of support to anyone near or far, family or unknown to

him. Today’s changing Higher Education has attributed the

Global Economic Competition and rapid Technical

advancements.

It’s a proud moment for me to congratulate the E &

Principal Message It is my great pleasure to share the first news letter of

Electronics and Telecommunication department of S.E.T.I.

Panhala. You will be delighted to go through this first

volume that will connect you to the many activities of

this department. The students and faculties of department

are proactive in taking initiatives in technical, cultural and

social events. I hope that this newsletter will serve the

purpose of reflecting all activities of department and it

will inspire others to do their best.

I wish the Head of the Department, all the editor staff

and students of the department for having taken the best

initiatives in bringing out this Newsletter.

H.O.D. Message Its my previliege to publish first newsletter of department

for the academic year 2015-16. I congratulate and appreciate the

initiative taken by all team members of department to launch the

newsletter, which gives an insight in to the departmental

activities.

We propose ten well equipped laboratories like VLSI and

Embedded, Communication, Measurement and Instrument etc.

for U.G. Course. We provide P.G. course in Electronics and

Telecommunication. Research and Advanced Communication

laboratories are exclusively developed for P.G. course.

The Electronics and Telecommunication department is 64th

sub-center of IETE (Institution of Electronics and

Telecommunication Engineers). For student development, we

have formed IETE student chapter and conducted IETE

sponsored events.

ACTIVITIES

Advisory Board Meeting

Advisory board meeting was held on 23rd August, 2016 by

E & TC department, SETI, Panhala under the guidance of Prof.

Vikas S. Mane, HOD, and E & TC. The meeting was co-ordinated

by Ms. S.S. Lad. Mr. Dhairyashil Patil (Vidhyati Technologies,

Kolhapur), Prof. Swapnil Hirikude (S.G.I. Atigre) were present

as advisory board representatives and Mr. Pandurang Farakate

was present as a parent representative.

Inauguration of “Digital Kit”

On the occasion of Welcome Function arranged on 30th

September, 2016, department of E&TC in presence of Hon. Shri

P. R. Bhosale, Hon. Shri N. R. Bhosale, Principal Dr. G. V.

Mulgund, Academic Dean Mrs. T. T. Mohite-Patil inaugurated

the digital design kits prepared as mini project by S.E.

students. The students conducted this work the valuable

guidance of subject teacher Mr. Chetan Gaikwad and technical

assistant Mr. S. B. Patil.

ASSET (Association of Sanjeevan Student of Electronics

Department of E&TC arranged social activity on the

occasion of Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti 2nd October, 2016. On

this occasion tree plantation activity carried out in presence of

SEMINARS

Seminar on “Wireless technology” A Seminar on “Wireless Technology” was held on 1st Feb

2016 at E & TC Department, SETI, Panhala. Mr. Dhairyshil C.

Patil (Vidhyati Technologies, Kolhapur) delivered the session

as a chief speaker. Other dignitaries on the dias were; Dr. G.V.

Mulgund, Principal, SETI, Panhala, Mrs. T.T. Mohite-Patil,

Academic Dean , SETI, Panhala and Prof. Vikas S. Mane. HOD, E

& TC. Prof. C.R. Dongarsane delivered the welcome address and

gave an overview of the seminar. Mr. Dhairyshil C. Patil

highlighted the session with the area of wireless

communication, control system and VHF communication.

chief guest. Other dignitaries on the dias were; Dr. G.V.

gave an overview of the seminar. Mr. Prashant Dhekane

highlighted the session with the recent technologies in

held on 17th Feb 2016 at E & TC Department, SETI, Panhala.

was held on 22nd August, 2016 at E & TC Department, SETI,

Panhala. Mr. Dhairyashil C. Patil, VIDHYATI Technology,

moderated the session as a chief guest. Dr. G.V. Mulgund,

(Principal, SETI, Panhala) inaugurated the session. Other

dignitaries on the dias were; Mrs. T.T. Mohite-Patil, Academic

Dean , SETI, Panhala and Prof. Vikas S. Mane. HOD, E & TC. Prof

WORKSHOPS

Two Days Workshop on “Soft Skill and Aptitude Test”

The department of E & TC of IETE Kolhapur sub centre

organized two days student development program on “Soft

Skills and Aptitude Test” on 15th Feb, 2016 at SETI, Panhala. Mr.

Neeraj Gunwani (Techrel Technologies, Pune) was the chief

guest and resource person for the workshop.

Prof. S. N. Shinde and Prof. S.A. Maske co-ordinated the

workshop. Event inaugurated by Dr. G. V. Mulgund, Principal,

SETI, Panhala, Academic Dean Mrs. T.T. Mohite-Patil and Prof.

Vikas S. Mane, HOD E & TC. Mr. Neeraj Gunwani delivered the

session on importance, applicability of soft skills in modern

multinational companies.

Two days robotics workshop “ROBOAVR”

The Department of Electronics and Telecommunication

of IETE Kolhapur sub centre organized two days Robotics

Workshop on “ROBOAVR” in association with Robogenesis on

29th Feb and 1st March, 2016 at SETI, Panhala.

Mr. Siddharth Sharma was the chief guest and Mr. Pankaj

Lanke was the resourse person for the workshop. The event

was inaugurated by Dr. G. V. Mulgund, Principal, SETI, Panhala,

Academic Dean Mrs. T.T. Mohite-Patil, Prof Vikas S. Mane. HOD,

E & TC. Mr. Siddharth Sharma delivered the session on the

basic parts of robotics, component feasibility, price

comparison and held practical session on robot assembly.

A guest lecture on “Blueprint to Success” was arranged

on 24th August, 2016 for thierd and Final year students of E & TC

Department, SETI, Panhala. Mr. Shashank Bhosale (Shashank

Academy, Kolhapur) moderated the session as a chief guest.

Other dignitaries on the dias were; Prof. Vikas S. Mane (HOD, E &

TC) and other staff members. Prof Mr. C. R. Dongarsane

delivered the welcome address and co-ordinated the seminar.

Antenna was organized by E & TC department on 24th Sept,

2016. Mr. Mr. Aniruddha Kulkarni (Procom Enterprises

Kolhapur) was the chief guest. The workshop was co-ordinated

by Ms. Prajakta Mohite. Other dignitaries on the dias were Dr.

G.V. Mulgund, Principal, SETI, Prof. T.T. Mohite-Patil, Academic

Dean, and Prof. Vikas S. Mane, HOD E & TC. The speaker

delivered the session on types of antenna and different methods

for design and implementation of antenna. Also, he conducted

the practical session on designing antenna.

One Week FDP on “Recent Trends in PLC, Lab VIEW And Internet of Things (IoT) ”

E & TC department along with Electrical department

organized One Week FDP on “Recent Trends in PLC, Lab VIEW

And Internet of Things (IoT). FDP carried out from 26th Dec,

2016 to 30th Dec, 2016. The FDP was co-ordinated by Prof. Mr.

S.N. Shinde and Ms. P.B.Shikalgar.

Technology Solution Pvt. Ltd, Pune) delivered the session on

PLC,interfacing of PLC with HMI, SCADA and Lab VIEW and

Mr. Amit Amrutkar (SKADA Technology Solution Pvt. Ltd,

Pune) delivered the session on Internet of Things (IoT).

INDUSTRIAL VISITS

Industrial visit at Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) Satellite Centre (ISAC) , Banglore

An industrial visit was arranged by Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering on 18th August 2016 for

final year students to Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) Satellite Centre (ISAC) at Banglore. On this occasion one day

training program was conducted which included an overview of Broadband communication, Optical fiber communication, GSM

and PSTN. Also students were visited to Vishveshwarya science centre, Banglore. This visit was advantageous for students to get

detail knowledge in Satellite communication. The visit was coordinated by Mr. S. V. Vanmore, Mr. C. R. Dongarsane and Ms. P. B.

Shikalgar.
