Excellence in Medical Student Teaching (non resident /

faculty) Excellent teacher, explained course description, let me partake in surgeries.

I left the rotation knowing a lot. Took time to teach important

concepts. Gave lots of opportunities for hands

on experiences. No other spent even close to as

much time teaching students, really went out of the way to teach & had a sincere desire to help me learn.

Wonderful bedside manner. Awesome teacher

the Year (Student) Very professional & taught not only topics, but how to be a good physician.

Explained path/treatments of patients in clinic, had great rapport with patients & answered all of my questions in depth.

Exceptional teacher, not just clinical & surgical outcomes/procedures, but expanded on techniques for interacting with patients & making them feel more comfortable.

As a teacher, was an active problem solver, explained methods & strategies to me, always kept me included, & was very thoughtful.

It was incredibly informative for me to observe patient interaction. Not only did I have significant case participation, but also my best clinic experience during the entire clerkship.

Very thorough in teaching. Emphasized importance of clinical interactions with patients, which I appreciated.

Very professional - interaction with patients exemplifies how a physician should treat their patients.

Great teacher told some good jokes.

Outstanding Surgical EducatorJunior Faculty Took time to explain concepts, communicated clearly.

Asset to the program. Takes real interest in our development as surgeons; it is both noticed & appreciated.

Can reliably give you recent articles to read or discuss as an important part of diagnostic workup & treatment.

Awesome. Constantly teaching in OR. Incredibly knowledgeable which both makes teaching effective & also stimulates me to grow in my own learning. Quoting literature constantly. Definitely one of my new favorites.

I always come away with 20 questions answered & 20 more that I find myself wanting to look up later.

Continue to be impressed by patient care, devotion to teaching, & knowledge base.

My guess is that she'll go incredibly far & that we'll brag one day that we worked with her as residents.

Outstanding Surgical Educator

Senior Faculty Has excellent grasp of current literature on many topics, not just own specialty, makes me want to read an article.

Allows resident ample opportunity in OR to learn new skills.

Patient & takes the extra time to evaluate resident Fund of knowledge is more than any surgeon I've met -

gives me daily motivation to read more. Consistency of temperament even under stress has

been so meaningful – encourages me that a surgeon can & should be able to maintain composure; provides an example to work toward.

Always reachable, always with good clinical advice Has a selfless drive for serving others & for being

excellent at what he does is evident in everything he does & benefits everyone he interacts with.
