CISI Centre of Excellence Accreditation to Christ University

It was another momentous achievement for Christ University, when the University was officially accredited as ‘CISI Centre of Excellence’ on

23, November 2016. Mr. Kevin Moore, Director Global Business Development, from CISI London Head Office was present on the occasion.

Mr. Moore in his speech announced that, Christ University is the first University outside the UK, which has been, conferred the status of Centre

of Excellence by the international body. The CISI (Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment) is the leading professional body for

securities, investment, wealth and financial planning professionals in the UK and in a growing number of financial centers globally. This

program is accredited by the FSA in the United Kingdom and is linked with regulators worldwide. Investment Operations Certificate (IOC)and

Wealth Management certifications of the CISI are offered to students of the Department of Commerce at Christ University.

This accreditation recognizes the excellence of the organization in the provision of higher education in the fields of financial services. The status

is awarded to Christ University following three consecutive years of excellent performance, where the average annual pass mark achieved by the

students meet the comparable average annual pass marks gained by the industry over the same period of time. The award was presented to the

Vice Chancellor of Christ University, Dr (Fr) Thomas C Mathew by the CISI Global Director. The CISI Country Head (India) Mr Ganesh Iyer

and AVP Mr. Jaseent Bindra were also present for the award ceremony.
