Deployment Procedure
Site PreparationDNS Changes*:
• Before you begin, create entries in your corporate DNS for the ciscolocal.com domain. Currently, applications reference 172.27.199.5 as their DNS host.
• Create ciscolocal.com zone :
• ucm-pub.ciscolocal.com - 172.27.199.11
• ucn1.ciscolocal.com - 172.27.199.12
• imp1.ciscolocal.com - 172.27.199.13
• pcp.ciscolocal.com - 172.27.199.10
NTP Reference*:
• Update NTP reference. Applications use 172.27.199.1 as their NTP reference.
Date & Time Reference:
• Update Date/Time Group. Currently, Date/Time Group is set (GMT-8:00) America/Los_Angeles
Network Route:
• Add internal route for the new 172.27.199.0 network
* Provided by BE6000S IOS gateway default configuration
Set Passwords
• On first boot of each VM, new usernames and passwords are required.
• No remote access enabled until credentials are changed.
• Configure UCM passwords first. Configure IMP and CUC once UCM is ready.
• Run setup to reset Prime Collaboration Provisioning passwords.
Update Prime Collaboration Provisioning
1. Update username and password for each application
2. Resynchronise applications
Install National Dial Plan
• Tailor a dial plan template to meet your requirements
• Install using Prime Collaboration Batch Provisioning
Add Users
• Use Prime Collaboration Provisioning to add users:
• Manually
• From text file
• Through LDAP synchronisation
• By default, self provisioning is enabled. New users simply log in using their extension number to configure their phone.

Local
Distributor
CTOP is currently rolled out in limited country and distributors
You should engage with your local distributor to establish the following
Do they have a CTOP service?
What do they charge?
What do they require in terms of data collection?
Once you have an established relationship you should clearly establish how long it will take you to install the average BE6K using this service
Once this is established you should ensure that your sales teams are reflecting this time & cost in your quotes
CTO should then allow you to be more competitive in terms of total price through reducing the installation cost significantly
