  * In unicode table, there are 11,172

  - Reserved Words : 769 (To reserve name space mostly category names)

Registered Trade Marks : Three names can be registered per certificate

ie) sktelecom : 에스케이텔레콤 .kr, sk 텔레콤 .kr, sk 탤래콤 .kr

Registered Company Names : Two names can be registered per certificate

ie) Samsung Electronics Inc. : 삼성전자 .kr or 삼성전자주식회사 .kr

Taking registrations for six weeks and will do lottery in one week

if multiple applications were received

KRNIC is running 7 Authorized Agency

KRNIC is running its own communication program between KRNIC and Agencies

KRNIC is charging the agencies 15,400won(including tax) per domain name

Agencies is charging the customers around 22,000won (including tax) price varies among agencies

Showing both hangeul and puny code on whois service

Using Verisign's I-nav plug-in to convert hangeul to puny code at user's application

Redirecting hangeul domain traffics to plug-in installation page by .kr name server and its secondary servers
