Derek KY Chan Managing DirectorMr. Chan graduated in Department of Earth Sciences, University of Hong Kong in late 90s. Whilst having great interest in mining and good understandings in certain geophysical surveying methods, Mr. Chan decided to explore the financial industry after graduation. In 2006, Mr. Chan returned to the mining industry by setting up AsiaMin Consulting Ltd and he plays an active role in mining projects, merger and acquisition, project management, pre-ITR management and ITR preparation for mining projects in mainland China. Mr. Chan is experienced in coal, sedimentary type deposit, non-ferrous metals and gold projects. He is also familiar with gold processing methods. In 2010, Mr. Chan, with some local mining experts, founded the non-profit organization - Hong Kong Mining Investment Professionals Association. He is now the secretary of the association on a voluntary basis.

Dr. Jue Wang Executive Director, Oil & GasDr. Wang has over 20 years of operational and senior management experience in upstream exploration and production activities in the oil & gas industry and won numerous awards for her technical knowledge excellence. Prior to her current position, she was the senior management in the Chinese state-owned oil company, Sinopec, and responsible for petroleum production management all the while. Prior to that, she worked in various departments in major petroleum companies in China for 17 years and headed the planning of exploration and production departments. In her capabilities, Dr. Wang was also engaged as Senior Oilfield Reservoir and Production Engineer, Geologist in oilfield development, Assistant Supervisor of the oilfield development department, etc. She also headed various departments including the development of oilfield reservoirs.

Grant Thomas Executive DirectorMr. Grant Thomas has over 28 years of experience in the mineral exploration and mining industry working on gold, coal, copper, lead, zinc, nickel, uranium, phosphate and diamond commodities. He also has extensive experience in mineral asset evaluation and valuation. He has previously explored and evaluated/valued mineral projects in Australia, Brazil, China, Laos and Cambodia. He has been associated with several major base and precious metal and iron ore discoveries. He has held senior and executive positions in several exploration and mining companies and has consulted on mineral asset evaluation and valuation and corporate management. He is the member of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (MAusIMM).

Barry Davis Executive DirectorMr. Barry Davis has over 25 years of experience in the mineral exploration and mining industry working on gold, silver, copper, iron and various base metals. He explored mineral projects in Australia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Philippines and China. He has been associated with several major precious metals project discoveries. Barry has extensive experience in exploration management and operation management, especially audits of existing operations, mine financing options, litigation support – expert, mining risk assessments and evaluation, GIS. He has held senior and executive positions in several exploration and mining companies and has consulted on mineral asset corporate management. He is the member of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (MAusIMM).

Mr. Chi Seng Kong Director, MiningMr. Kong is a registered Geologist and Geotechnical Engineer with over 25 years of experience in geological in Hong Kong and overseas. He holds a bachelor degree in geology from National Taiwan University and a master degree of Science, Applied Geosciences from the University of Hong Kong. Mr. Kong has extensive experience in mining and materials handling industries with a broad background in engineering and project management. Mr. Kong was awarded European Geologist, Chartered Geologist (UK), Chartered Professional (Geology & Mining) (Australia), Certified Professional Geologist (American) and the Scrutinizer for the Chartered Geologist (UK). He is a fellow of the Geological Society (UK), MAusIMM, Vice Chairman of the Geological Society of Hong Kong – Professional Branch.
