Description

> UGINOX Sand is a double-sided patterned finish with a sand blasted look (surface roughness Ra typical: 1.5 μm / 60 μinch).> This finish is available on 304 (1.4301) and 316L (1.4404) austenitics grades. (Please refer to our dimensional range).> We propose a standard widths range up to 1250 mm and further width up to 1500 mm are available on consultation.> The surface conforms to the EN 10088 2M.

Our recommendations

Coatings> We recommend the use of a coating to protect the surface during transport, storage and subsequent transforming operations.> The choice of coating is based on the requirements (ease of forming, laser cutting, etc.). Please do not hesitate to consult us for specific requests.> If coating is not required, we suggest paper interleaving in between the coil laps or sheets.

Our manufacturing process

UGINOX Sand is manufactured according to the typical stainless steel manufacturing process up to the rolling operation where the patterning process takes place. View all of the stainless steel manufacturing process on our website.

> This engraving operation is conducted with specially prepared cylinders on a bright annealed base (BA) and a tension leveller.> This engraving technique used enables both a uniform and reproductible finish for the different grades and dimensions.> This production method is certified to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.

The UGINOX Sand finish is available in coils, slit coils and sheets.These grades comply with American NSF/ANSI 51-2007 and European N°1 935/2004 standards regarding material used in contact with food.Mechanical properties of stainless steel grades comply with the industry norms EN 10088-2, EN 10088-4 and ASTM A 240.

Construction products manufactured in all Aperam plants and service centres comply with the CE standard.
