Generic Structure

Identifying the person or something to be describe

Describing something or someone in qualities or characteristic.

Language featuresThe description text has dominant language features as follows:

• Using Simple Present Tense

• Using action verbs

• Using passive voice

• Using noun phrase

• Using adverbial phrase

• Using technical terms

• Using general and abstract noun

• Using conjunction of time and cause-effect.

Simple Present

• Verb ditambahkan s/es apabila subject nya tunggal (singular)

Ex: He, she, it

• Add –es if the verb ends in ss, sh, ch, x or zex: cross crosses
