Elements of color

• RGB Color Model – additive color model; based on human perception of colors and widely accepted in electronics.

• CMYK Color Model – subtractive color model; background is usually white or light color

RGB Color Model

• Called additive because the model is based on light beams. When the colors are added together, the result is white.

CMYK Color Model

• Called subtractive because ink subtracts brightness from white

• Colors added together gives an imperfect black
