Sophisticated Flow Diversion ArrangementWe know that not every pool is constructed in the same way; some pools may have large pumps, while other have smaller pumps, and every pool will have different length of pipe runs. This is why we have designed FlowBright to be compatible with as many flow rates as possible. FlowBright has four gate settings, which allows you to divert the excess flow necessary, eliminating

any potential for pressure increases.

Directional Exhaust Port FlowBright is fitted into the return flow inlet, replacing the directional eyeball trim. However, we have made sure that FlowBright can replicate the functions of the removed eyeball by placing a directional exhaust at the base.

Two Lengths of AdaptorsEvery FlowBright comes with two different lengths of adaptor: small, large. The degree to which the female threaded portion of the return inlet fitting is recessed relative to the vertical pool wall face can vary depending on the construction of the pool. Where the threads are recessed beyond the reach of the short adaptor, the long adaptor should be used. The long adaptor may also be cut shorter if required. All of our standard adaptors come

combatable with 1 ½” BSP threading.

Does my filter need to be on for the light to work?As FlowBright uses the energy in the water passing into the pool from the filtration system to generate its electrical needs, the filtration system does need to be on.

Will it add any back pressure to my system?FlowBright is as restrictive as an average eyeball fitting, meaning that installation it will not add any additional pressure to your filtration system. FlowBright has a low-resistance high-volume water flow arrangement, which minimises system back pressure and flow loss.

Will FlowBright work in my pool?Generally, domestic swimming pool require a combined flow rate of 6.0 – 10.0m3h and typically have between one to three return inlets. However, there is no one way to build and design a swimming pool – differences in pipe runs, the number of inlets, pumps sizes, etc. We have therefore taken this into consideration when designing FlowBright. FlowBright operates on the same 6.0 – 10.0m3h of flow, and if installed correctly should have no, to very little, effect on the back pressure and flow of your filtration system.

What happens when I back wash my pool?The light will not function when filter flow stops at the inlet. After backwashing the light can be switched back.

Will the light operate when I’m vacuuming my pool?The light will operate if there is adequate water flow into the light assembly. When vacuuming through the filter, dirt will progressively build up within the filter, reducing the water flow to the light assembly*.

Can I use FlowBright in a salt pool?FlowBright is constructed out of the highest quality plastics and 316L stainless steel components. These materials generally have a high resistance to corrosion under normal chlorinated pool water conditions. With the addition of a salt/chlorine generator, the aggressiveness of the water to metallic components significantly increases; therefore, the risk of corrosion and subsequent damage and/or failure of these components also increases. If salt/chlorine levels are kept to a minimum, acceptable level of corrosion may occur. If high levels or runaway levels of salt and or chlorine are present, severe damage may occur.

*When the pump is turned off to adjust the multiport valve at the filter, the flow will momentarily stop, causing the light to turn off.

Then the low-resistance high-volume patented turbine technology extracts and converts a percentage of the kinetic energy into electrical energy.
