North Arrow frame• North arrows are contained within frames in the layout.

When you create a north arrow frame you select a style of north arrow to place on the layout. You can also choose an angle (in degrees) that the north arrow should be rotated.

Text and other graphics

• Use the drawing tool to add graphics such as neatlines, boxes, and other shapes

• Add text for titles and other descriptive information

• Resize

• Group

Layout template

• Save any layout as a layout template• Use the layout design as the basis for other

layouts• Use EMPTY frames (views, tables, etc.) for

the different map components• When the layout template is used, any

view/table/etc. can be assigned to the empty frame

• Your new template will be added in the template manager
