Founded in 1834 DESMI is one of Denmark’s oldest companies and we are proud of havinga long history supplying good, reliable solutions, maintaining an innovative approach andutilising the opportunities on the global market.

In May 2014 DESMI received the Danish Export Association’s Net Member award for anumber of reasons; very quick implementation of an innovative business concept; highgrowth in export turnover and strong networking, both in the Danish Export Association,the Blue Denmark, and internationally.

Our product range - completed by products fromother leading, world-class manufacturers – iscomplemented by related services such as the

The DESMI pumps and systems are sold to morethan 100 countries via a worldwide network ofsubsidiaries and distributors.

OIL SPILL RESPONSE

The oil spill response solutions from DESMI are trusted inthe industry. Whether the requirement is for offshore or

the shoreline area, the Arctic or Equatorial environment, wecontinue to deliver proven solutions for all spill conditions at the

DESMI Oil Spill Response has segmented its markets intooperational, climatic and environmental areas. This hasfocused the equipment design and supply accordingly andcreated a comprehensive range of proven oil spill solutions.

For offshore operations, DESMI can boast some of thelargest booms, recovery systems and temporary storagetanks in the market today. In addition, we can offercontrolled or In-Situ burning systems, deployed to suchgood effect in the BP Deepwater Horizon spill. For the nearshore, shoreline and beach environments, the equipmentfocus shifts to light weight, man portable systems for ease ofdeployment and recovery.

As the exploration for oil and gas enters areas of greaterenvironmental vulnerability, the need for reliable equipmentis doubly important. DESMI has answered one specificchallenge with a new range known as the ARCTIC. This isa special tool kit of systems to enable the containment,recovery and storage of hydrocarbons in the Arcticenvironment.

DESMI can also offer a specialist range of skimmers andsystems to suit the requirements of industry including in-tank skimming. This equipment is typically manufacturedfrom high nickel alloys to resist severe, sour applications.

Aside from the equipment detailed above, DESMI has asignificant range of oil spill recovery vessels (OSRVs). Thesteel Pollcat boats are available up to 24 metres and aresupplied with unique zero velocity ‘mop’ skimming systemspositioned between the catamaran hull. This system allowsfor the collection of oil at speeds of up to 5 knots andcomplements other systems such as dispersant spraying.Vessels including aluminium landing craft and rigid inflatableboats complement the DESMI OSRV lineup.

The efficient, safe and reliable operation of all this equipmentis a requirement of both DESMI and the customer. In thisregard, we offer worldwide, comprehensive training andcommissioning. This can be offered to internationallyrecognized accreditation levels including IMO.

Pump Solutions for Military and Coast Guard ShipsDESMI has a history going back many yearsof providing pumping solutions for militaryapplications not least within the naval sector.Client demands for equipment reliability under

adverse conditions have made our solutions thechoice of many navies, of course up to the highestNATO standard in relation to noise, vibration andshock.

Helicopter Refuelling SystemsTo operate a helicopter from the deck of a ship oran offshore installation requires availability of fuel forthe helicopter. DESMI provides first class helicopter

Flexibility - Customer Made SolutionsDESMI has an almost complete range of centrifugalpumps for applications up to PN25 and 140°C –where know-how and flexibility to individual projectrequirements are essential. Our product range ismainly focusing on the medium and larger pumpapplications.

Tried & Tested, Global SolutionsDESMI has produced pumps for more than 140 years

and therefore offers “Proven Technology”. We haveproduced pumps for district heating for approx. 90years. Proven pump technology from Denmark, thecountry with most know-how in district heating,combined heat & power plants etc.

District HeatingDenmark was one of the first countries in the worldto construct district heating networks. DESMI hastaken active part in this development and hasdeveloped a very strong product portfolio withfocus on high energy efficiencies.
