It was rightly said by Dr. A.P. J. Abdul Kalam that "The purpose of education

is to make good human beings with skill and expertise. Enlightened human beings

can be created by teachers." Our institution has done a tremendous job to enlighten

and bring about the change in the lives the girl students of Ambala City and nearby

places. Dev Samaj College for Girls was founded in 1934 in Lahore by Revered

Bhagwan Devatma with the noble mission of imparting quality education to the girl

students. Later it we re-establishement in Ambala in 1948. Since then it is

continuously striving hard for the education of girl students.

While academic excellence is our major thrust but we also try to inculcate the

good moral values among our students We groom them to face the challenges of

tomorrow and work for their all-round development. Our passionate lecturers ensure

that our students grow in confidence and capabilities and develop skills in them

through co-curricular activities i.e. NCC, NSS, YRC, Youth Welfare, Music & Sports

Activities etc. We celebrate all the festivals with full enthusiasm so that our students

may learn to respect the rich cultural heritage of our country.

We are fortunate enough for being guided by the most dedicated guiding

force of Dev Samaj Council - Shriman Nirmal Singh Ji Dhillon (Secretary, Dev Samaj

Council), Shriman J.C. Bhardwaj (Chairman, College Managing Committee), Mrs.

Adarsh Mohan (Vice Chairperson, College Managing Committee) and other respected

members of managing committee.
