• Noise, light, dust, vibration
and visual impacts
• Tunnelling and settlement

• Air pollution
• Impacts of construction
traffic
• The loss of areas of green
and open spaces
• Not retaining and re-
providing trees
• Impact on safe cycle and

Proposed materials and finishes
Our design experts have considered a range of materials that could
provide a consistent theme to the head house structures along the route
and still be used sympathetically at each specific location.
The current recommendation for Euston cavern head house, after
discussion with Historic England and Camden Council’s conservation
team is
• Predominantly brick with metal louvres to the railway façade
• Façade to Park Village East to be developed to be most sympathetic
to the historic John Nash villas
For the Euston portal head house and Granby Terrace Bridge head
house, we are developing proposals for a combination of these
materials. Please give us your views.

Lorry movements and routes for construction
Predicted lorry movements
in the Environmental
Statement (ES) of 335-495*
average daily combined
two-way vehicle trips
during busy period and
within peak month of
activity.
*Combined ES lorry movements
for compounds, Granby Terrace
overbridge and carriage shed
and Park Village East
We will aim to reduce the
number lorry movements
in the Euston area to below
the ES predictions, working
closely the other HS2
contractors and with TfL
and Camden Council.

What we’d like to know
How to get in touch
How you can help
We have employed expert designers to develop a design that minimises impacts where possible, and have proposed materials that we think best suit your local area. Now we’d know really like to know what you think about our proposals.
There are questionnaire leaflets for you to fill in here or to take away, and they will be available online too. Please take some time to fill one in.
We will come back in a few months time and tell you how we have used your feedback.
Please leave your questionnaire in the ballot box near the door, or return it to: FREEPOST SCSRAILWAYS
Alternatively, please email it to [email protected] can also obtain the questionnaire form the website. Please submit by 12th August 2018.
We will also make event material available on the HS2 in Camden website soon.
If you have any additional queries after the event, please contact the HS2 Helpdesk on 08081 434434.
Our Questionnaire asks for your views on these specific issues:
• The changes made to design for the overall area (boards 1 and 2)
• the materials we are proposing for the outside of the Euston cavern head house (boards 4 and 7)
• Possible materials we are proposing for the Euston portal and Granby Terrace Bridge head house (boards 5 and 7)
• the proposals for planting of trees and other vegetation for screening (board 8)
• the appearance of the site access gates on Park Village East (boards 8 and 9)
• Any concerns or comments regarding the lorry routes into and out of the site (board 10)
But we would also like to know what other concerns that you may have. Please use the space on our form to give us your feedback – it is very important to us.
