    Developmental Action Plan

    Purpose: The purpose of this community organizing with the theme Himsog nga Panglawas Atong Tagam-Tamon: Altapresyon ug Dyabetes Atong Kontrolon isto educate and guide the community regarding diseases such as hypertension and diabetes, as well as on medical hand washing and nutrition.

    General objectives:

    Within the two hours of student nurse-community resident interaction, the student nurses will be able to efficiently discuss and impart the knowledge abouthypertension, diabetes, medical hand washing and certain points about nutrition.

    Within the two hours of student nurse-community resident interaction, the student nurses will be able to strengthen the awareness of the community of suchdiseases (hypertension and diabetes).

    Within the two hours of student nurse-community resident interaction, the student nurses will be to point out advantages and significance on managing andcontrolling the disease process for both hypertension and diabetes.

    Within the two hours of student nurse-community resident interaction, the student nurses will be able to provide the community with relevant data regarding

    their current health status.

    Specific Objectives:

    o Within the two hours of student nurse-community resident interaction, the student nurses will be able to the discuss different concepts with regards to

    diabetes and hypertension such as its causes, types and signs and symptomso Within the two hours of student nurse-community resident interaction, the student nurses will be able to promote health lifestyle by providing certain

    interventions associated with such diseases.o Within the two hours of student nurse-community resident interaction, the student nurses will be able to support partnership and discuss on community

    roles for disease management and control (hypertension and diabetes).o Within the two hours of student nurse-community resident interaction, the student nurses will be able to do certain interventions such as blood pressure

    taking and capillary blood glucose testing.o Within the two hours of student nurse-community resident interaction, the student nurses will be able to impart knowledge about the complications and

    risk of diabetes and hypertension in the community.
