59th Street, the NYPD officers serving our
community invite everyone to a discussion of the
public safety problems in our neighborhood.
Refreshments at 6:30 PM, meeting starts at 7 PM.
The next Pastoral Council meeting will be on Monday,
January 22, at 7 PM in the rectory meeting room.
Saturday, February 3, there will be a 12:15 PM
mass in the upper church to celebrate the Feast of
Santo Niño de Cebu. Following the mass there will
be a celebration in Notre Dame Hall. For details, contact

Father John Murray will continue his Bible classes on
Thursday evenings at 7:30 PM in the rectory parlor and
again on Friday morning at 11:00 AM in the sacristy. For
the next nine weeks we will study prayer in the Bible.

How beautiful the Christmas wreaths around
OLPH! Families who want to take the wreath
with their name may do so over these next weeks.
February 2, Candlemas Day, will be the last date
to take the wreaths from the fence around the church.

gifts at Christmastime.
Shape Up NYC has a yoga class for adults on
Wednesdays, from 6:15 PM to 7:15 PM, in
Notre Dame Hall, 558 59th Street. This class
is free and open to the public. The last yoga class will be on
January 24. Beginning 2 weeks later, February 7, a Zumba
class will begin at the same time.

Pedimos la intercesión de este santo misionero
redentorista por un aumento de vocaciones a la

El Consejo Pastoral de la parroquia se reunirá el lunes, 22
de enero, en la rectoría.
Rosario por los enfermos, todos los Martes a las 6:15 PM,
seguido por la Misa con liturgia de las Horas a las 6:45 PM.
Misa Familiar todos los Jueves a las 6:45 PM con una
bendición especial para todos los niños y jóvenes. Todos
están invitados.
El Coro de Ninos, invita a todos los interesados al ensayo los
viernes a las 5 PM en la capillita, entrada por la calle 59.
Los Libros del Jubileo de los 125 años de N. S. del Perpetuo
Socorro están en venta en la rectoría a $30 por ejemplar.
Los que compraron un espacio en el Libro por al menos

Celebraciones del mes de enero: Santo Nombre de Jesús el
14 de enero a las 10:15 a.m. N.S. de Altagracia el 21 de
enero a las 10:15 a.m. Semana de Escuelas Católicas el 28
de enero hasta el 3 de febrero.
¡Qué bella nuestra iglesia con las coronas navideñas en la
verja! Las familias que desean retirar su corona pueden
hacerlo antes del 2 de febrero. El viernes, 2 de febrero,
Fiesta de la Candelaria, será el último día para retirar las
coronas. Estamos agradecidos a todos por su generosidad
que embelleció la parroquia esta Navidad.
Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Academy of Brooklyn returned from Christmas break only to have mother nature offer us two snow days. Students were able to read and study in the safety and warmth of their own homes due to the snow storm and frigid weather on January 4th and 5th.
As part of our S.T.E.M program, our 8th graders wrote, directed, filmed, and edited their own short films. The films included a variety of styles including an anti-bullying drama, a comedy and a touching sentimental tale. The students in 5th grade created flip books creating their own animations, and the 6th graders chose their favorite songs to create music videos. As Benjamin Franklin said: "Hide not your talents, they for use were made."
We are preparing for our celebration of our students and Catholic schools on Sunday January 28th at the 10:15 AM Mass in the Lower Church. We invite our friends and neighbors to join us in our celebration.

Our 125th Jubilee journals are on sale in the
rectory office for $30. If you previously
purchased an ad in the journal for at least $30,
you are entitled to receive one, free of charge,
and it can be picked up at the Rectory.
TAX STATEMENT INFORMATION 2017
During the month of January 2018, a statement of
contributions will be mailed to everyone who gave a
donation to our parish during the year 2017. Please keep
this statement for your tax records. It is not necessary to
request this statement. The Diocesan Office will also be
sending out statements concerning contributions made to
the Annual Catholic Appeal and Generations of Faith
Campaign. This amount will not be included in the
statement from O.L.P.H.
Last weekend there were 2,776 people who
came to OLPH for the celebration of the
Eucharist. The total collection was
$9,257.62. Thank you for your generosity in supporting
our parish community. In the name of the God who will
not be undone in generosity, thank you!

impuestos. Además, la diócesis enviará las nóminas
concernientes a la Campaña Católica Anual y la
Campaña Generaciones de Fe. El monto de éstas, no será
incluido en los datos de O.L.P.H.

5. 我们的童声合唱团、成人合唱团和辅祭班开始招收新成员。欢
迎五岁以上的小朋友向叶老师报名参加童声合唱团，八岁以上
的小朋友向吕神父报名参加辅祭班，成人向小敏报名参加成人
合唱团。
La Academia Católica de Nuestra Señora del Perpetuo Socorro de Brooklyn regresó de las vacaciones de Navidad solo para que la madre naturaleza nos ofrezca dos días de nieve. Los estudiantes pudieron leer y estudiar en la seguridad y el calor de sus propios hogares debido a la tormenta de nieve y el clima helado del 4 y 5 de Enero.
Como parte de nuestro programa S.T.E.M, nuestros alumnos de 8º grado escribieron, dirigieron, filmaron y corrigieron sus propios cortometrajes. Las películas incluyeron una variedad de estilos que incluyen un drama anti-bullying, una comedia y un emotivo cuento sentimental. Los alumnos de 5° grado crearon libros animados y crearon sus propias animaciones. Los alumnos de 6 grado eligieron sus canciones favoritas para crear videos musicales. Como dijo Benjamin Franklin:"No ocultes tus talentos, para su uso fueron hechos".
Nos estamos preparando para nuestra celebración de la semana de las Escuelas Catolicas y los estudiantes, el domingo 28 de Enero en la Misa de las 10:15AM en la Iglesia Inferior. Invitamos a nuestros amigos y vecinos a unirse a nosotros en nuestra celebración.
